Najib & UMNO will be in real trouble whether Anwar win or lose the case but my gut feeling is that Anwar's sodomy verdict will be...case dismissed but not amounting to acquittal.
Though Anwar will be free, probably he will be charged again if BN wins the 13th GE with 2/3 majority. I have a feeling that the Najib's gomen is playing safe.
With that judgement, Najib & UMNO will tell the world that our judiciary is fair and continue to harp on the issue, that Anwar is still a sodomite. Remember he has the 'sex-video' to answer.
In 1998,UMNO/BN won practically on non-malay votes, while the malays shifted their allegiance to the opposition.
In 2012, UMNO/BN is going to lose many non-malay votes, while the malay votes is divided 50-50.
Whether Najib and UMNO like it or not, Anwar is still relevant & a pain in their arse!!!

You are saying Anwar is irrelevant to Malaysia. So, what the hell are you afraid of to the extend everywhere he goes, the whole Bukit Aman becomes tak aman and all your local members are in the hot soup doing 1001 kind of actions to disrupt his ceramah???
