The poor lady was not very proficient in English, but did manage to communicate with her husband.

The real problem arose whenever she had to shop for groceries.

One day, she went to the butcher and wanted to buy chicken legs.
She didn't know how to put forward her request, so, in desperation, clucked like a chicken and lifted up her skirt to show her thighs.
Her butcher got the message and gave her the chicken legs.

Next day she needed to get chicken breasts, again she didn't know how to say it, so she clucked like a chicken and unbuttoned her blouse to show the butcher her breasts.
The butcher understood again and gave her some chicken breasts.

On the 3rd day, the poor lady needed to buy sausages.
Unable to find a way to communicate this, she brought her husband to the store...

Ni fakta menunjukkan Umno penjahanam tanah orang Melayu;

1) 22,000 ekar ( Ya! Dua Puluh Dua RIBU ekar) tanah kerajaan di gadai kepada gergasi KLK (KL Kepong) di Lekir, Manjung.

2) 5,000 ekar di Bruas 1500 ekar kepada MCA di Bandar Baru , Kampar (UTAR)

3) 200 ekar ta...pak kilang simen Perak Hanjoong (sekarang YTL kerana di gadai oleh pemimpin UMNO kepada YTL! ) Ini tanah rizab melayu di Padang Rengas, Kuala Kangsar dekat Highway!

4) Kerajaan Umno/BN Perak gadai tanah kerajaan di beberapa lokasi komersial di tengah bandar Ipoh, Taiping, Bidor , Kinta, dan Perak kepada taukeh-taukeh jika sekiranya BN kembali berkuasa pada 9 Mac 2008 (selepas PRU-12).

5) 9 ribu hektar tanah Rezab Melayu di Selangor telah ditukar status kepada bukan rezab Melayu. Hanya 1/3 sahaja (lebih kurang 3 ribu hektar sahaja yang diganti. Selebihnya jin tanah makan.

6)Pada tahun 1990, seramai 80 orang penduduk di Pantai Chenang Langkawi yang duduk di atas tanah rezab Melayu dihalau untuk membina Pelangi Beach Resort.

7) Pada tahun 1990, sebanyak 930 hektar tanah Rezab Melayu Kampung Mambau Negeri Sembilan telah diambil untuk projek Seremban 2. Sebelumnya terdapat 600 orang yang tinggal disitu.

8) 26,000 hektar (dua puluh enam ribu) tanah rezab Melayu di Tanjung Langsat-Tanjung Pia Johor diambil untuk New Town Ship. Projek yang diusahakan oleh Kuok Brother Collabratioan UEM.

9) 300 ekar tanah Rezab Melayu di Pulau Redang Teregganu kepada Vicent Tan untuk projek perlancungan.

10) Pada tahun 1993, 1000 ekar tanah Rezab Melayu di Kerpan Kedah (tapak sawah yang subur) untuk projek kolam udang.

11) 13 Jun 2008 (Utusan Malaysia) melaporkan penduduk sekitar daerah Kota Tinggi, kecewa dengan tindakan pejabat tanah menolak permohonan mereka mendapatkan tanah seluas 182.11 hektar di Batu 15 Jalan Kulai, Mukim Ulu Sungai Johor di sini. Tanah yang sudah dipohon sejak 20 tahun dahulu telah diberi kepada syarikat bukan bumiputera. Ini siapa punya angkara? PR atau Umno.

12) Akibat kebodohan pemimpin Umno menyebabkan Pulau Batu Putih pun terlepas yang dapat hanya pulau tenggelam timbul (Batuan Tengah dan Tubir Selatan). Kalau air pasang batu tenggelam, kalau air surut maka Pulau Batu itu timbul. Inilah yang disebut oleh Datuk Rais Yatim Menteri Luar menang-menang. Menang pada Umno ialah Singapura dapat pulau yang tidak tenggelam, manakala Malaysia hadhari dapat pulau tenggelam timbul. Ini lah lawaknya pemimpin Umno yang jaga kedaulatan negara.

13) Kampung Chubadak Sentul Kuala Lumpur, sebanyak 273 ekar tanah kampung Melayu tradisi telah menyebabkan kira-kira 160 keluarga telah dihalau keluar kerana pembangunan mega akan dibuat disitu.

14) Tanah rezab Melayu seluas 94 ekar yang diteroka sejak 72 tahun telah terkorban untuk projek Pencala Link dekat Damansara Kuala Lumpur.Sebanyak 840 hektar tanah rezab melayu di Pahang bakal hilang apabila projek ECER (Koridor ekonomi pantai timur)

15) Pengkhianatan Umno kepada orang Melayu telah berjaya menghilangkan tanah rezab Melayu dari 3juta hektar pada tahun 1957 kepada 1.7 juta hektar (1995). Bermakna 44% tanah rezab Melayu yang ditinggal oleh penjajah dengan susut kadar 1.2% setahun.

Nampaknya penjajah lebih berhati perut daripada pemimpin Umno dalam menjaga orang melayu. Kalau tidak disekat maka tahun 2020 tanah rezab Melayu hanya tinggal 30% sahaja. Daripada fakta di atas bolehlah dirumuskan Umnolah pengkhianat dan menggadai tanah orang melayu, Bukan PAS, bukan PKR dan bukan DAP. Sebenarnya slogan Umno “Hidup Melayu” perlu ditukar kepada slogan sebaliknya, iaitu “di mana Umno kuat di situ Melayu merempat”.

Sakit Hati Bila Org Tak Menilai Pengorbanan Anggota Tentera

I'm not a non-Malay but remark made by Zahid Hamidi was really a shock. Being commissioned in RRD with excellence achievement in many courses namely commando, I would say........

FUCK YOU Zahid for saying non-malay is not patriotic enough to join military.

FUCK YOU those who elected him.

FUCK OFF all the generals and top brass for being selfish without fighting for your men namely on their welfare namely those ex-servicemen.

Defence Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi remarked that non-Malays shun a military career because they lacked patriotism. His sense of history and of the contributions of the Chinese, Indians and our brothers from East Malaysia towards the sovereignty of Malaysia leaves something to be desired. Zahid's is a racist and bigoted view, pure and simple.

I guess when the Chinese and Indians were bleeding and dying for this country, Zahid might just have been a dirty glint in his father's eyes. I am not insulting this dull fellow, just that this shallow-minded individual needs some input regarding who was the first Malaysian to be awarded the Pingat Gagah Berani. He was a Chinese! Sergeant Chong Yong Chin PGB of the First Federation Regiment.

Dey Zahid, I suppose you did not know that. Insults have to be politely reciprocated with civility, I am doing just that.

Did you not know who was the first recipient of the Pingat Gagah Berani in the Congo? That person too was a Chinese, Lieutenant Lee Ah Pow PGB, read about how shoddily he was treated too! It had to take Brigadier R.S. Noronha of the Indian army (during a UN peacekeeping mission in Congo) to recommend him for an award. Lt Lee had shown exemplary courage and tremendous restraint under fire, yet his own Malaysian high command overlooked his valour.

There was another young Chinese officer, Lt David Fu Chee Meng, who too was awarded the PGB at the Battle of Tanah Hitam.

So those guys were not patriotic enough for you? Here is my favourite, someone I know personally, Sergeant Choo Woh Soon PGB, my wife's uncle. The short guy in the centre of the photo is Sergeant Choo Woh Soon PGB. This guy, patriotic enough for you?

How about this Indian officer and Chinese soldier dying together to save your sorry butt from the commies? Captain Shanmuganathan PGB and 207770 Ranger Mat Isa bin Hassan PGB, do not be deceived by the name Mat Isa, he was a Chinese.

How about this Indian officer who laid down his life at the ripe old age of 24? Captain Mohana Chandran al Velayuthan (200402) Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa. Not patriotic enough for you? Here is another Indian who got the PGB, Second Lieutenant Panir Chellvum a/l Velaithan PGB. Still not patriotic enough for you?

M'sian soldiers burn cross

How about this where a sorry excuse for an officer caused the death of 13 Italian airmen in the Congo. The Malay Major had shirked his responsibilities of providing the airmen with protection, placed them in danger by ordering them to be brought to the mess and allowed them to be captured by the rebels. The Major then further disgraced himself by ordering all the officers and men at the mess to surrender their weapons to the rebels who had surrounded them, which they did sheepishly.

Malaysia's name had to be salvaged in this incident by Second Lieutenants N.H. Siebel PGB and Captain Maurice Lam PGB, notice their names, they were non-Malays.

How about the time in Bosnia where soldiers desecrated a Catholic Cross? Again the situation was salvaged by the non-Malays. For posterity I have another link here about how the then Defence Minister Najib Razak excused the burning of Croation Catholic cross by two Malaysian UN peacekeepers stationed in Bosnia-Herzegovina as "unintentional".

I will not even talk about the vandalising of the Hoba meteorite in Namibia.

Here is another Indian, who after serving a total of 29 years in both the police force and the army is denied his pension. The reason being he did not attend the weapons course and tactics course. What weapons and tactics course, when he and his men wiped out the remnants of the enemy in Selangor. What would his unshaved instructors teach him? Read about him, Captain Courageous aka Mukhtiar Singh s/o Sodagar Singh.

In any other army in the world today, they would have cited Mukhtiar Singh for courage and piled honours on him without any questions asked. Unfortunately he is an Indian in Malaysia, get that Zahid?

The problem with people like Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is he does not know about people like these Chinese and Indians who were willing to die for Malaysia unconditionally. They only wanted to be treated fairly. The current situation is like "some people are more equal than others".

East M'sians discriminated against

People like Zahid are wind bags, full of foul air and all empty talk.

If you notice the minorities were significant in numbers in the forces when Malaysia was in danger, from the Japanese occupation of Malaya, the Emergency, Confrontation and the subsequent Emergency until the cessation of hostilities by the Malayan Communist Party.

Remember the Communist Party of Malaya did not surrender. It was a treaty for the cessation of hostilities. Freeing our Great Leader to push his agenda of Ketuanan Melayu, subsequently his achievements were ... I shall just cite one, i.e. the amazing statement that Anwar Ibrahim socked himself in the left eye to gain public sympathy and give the police a bad name. Mahathir could not do many of the things he has done if the Malayan Communist Party was on the warpath as it would increase their numbers. Zahid, being an ardent fan of this old goat, is still playing to the gallery.

Soldiers who have served, the non-Malays, know what it is to be discriminated against because of their race and religion. Even the Bumiputras of Sabah and Sarawak are discriminated against, as most of them are Christians.

While at this, being an ex-soldier and all, I have seen many East Malaysian officers serving in combat units. Why did not any one of them make it to General? Not good enough?

Sarawak Rangers

Look at how brave, loyal and patriotic they are. See in the archives for the records I've compiled. After seeing the results of the Sibu 'buy elections', where the BN lost, I guess they saw the writing on the wall and recently promoted an Iban officer to become the first Iban who made it to General, Stephen Mundaw, in September this year.

Anyway that is peanuts, East Malaysians should demand and expect at least a 4-star General from amongst the Ibans, whose bodies have been littered across the battle fields in Malaysia. Their courage and ferocity in battle is unmatched.

Lack of promotion prospects

After having served many years and plodding along, being bypassed by juniors and incompetents, there are so many grievances. There is not enough space to write it all at one go. Is it not heart wrenching? You expect patriotism to burn brightly in the hearts of the non-Malays when our children are discriminated by virtue of race and religion?

Treat everyone equally on a level playing field and you will not need to ask for the non-Malays to defend this country. The numbers would be so huge that you would have to send most of them back.

In the military, the non-Malay is ridden like a horse, for the greater benefit of the majority. No rewards, when it comes to promotions and benefits ... they forget you. You know about the old race horse, that it runs until it drops dead or is put out to pasture. Most non-Malays make it to the rank of Major, I am sure you have heard this before, about the infamous glass ceiling. That is the rank you have to be happy with.

You are not promoted on merit. I know of guys who can barely speak English but become Generals. During my time all the courses were in English. Ask the ex and serving non-Malays about the subtle hints to convert. They do not even respect your faith by suggesting that. If they're always hinting to you that you should convert, it means they look down on you.

Religious and racial discrimination go hand in hand.

I have also had the privilege of seeing a General's knees tremble, when he stepped out of my Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) as I helped him down. This was after an exchange of fire. I was the escort commander and he was riding in my IFV in Somalia.

A hundred non-Malays would, without hesitation and asking questions, charge a hill of 10,000 enemies to defend their country, Malaysia, if you treated them and their offspring as Malaysians and not as dhimmis and second-class citizens.

I could continue shellacking Ahmad Zahid until the cows come home but it is us who are to be blamed. He is the MP for Bagan Datuk, Perak. Those of us who continue supporting MCA and the MIC, are actually getting him elected year in, year out. Your votes have made him arrogant. If you notice his majority is actually shrinking. So the strongest message for the Defence Minister would be to boot this racist Umno supremacist out of Parliament in the next general elections.

Standard Pencapaian Di Dalam Peperiksaan Am

Aku tertanya-tanya jugak sejak dulu, kini dan selamanya dok bermain ajer persoklan ni di dalam kepada hotak aku. Last-last aku kena buat posting ni mengharapkan satu pengesahan kepada persoalan ini.

Sejauh mana tingginya standard pencapaian para pelajar di 1Malaysia ni?

Kerana aku hairan, adakah para pelajar semakin pandai

atau

Standard lulus peperiksaan sentiasa berubah-ubah demi menunjukkan yg standard ini sentiasa tinggi dan KPI menterinya baik dan tercapai.

Setiap kali aku buat sessi temuduga, lulusan universiti boleh dikatakan semuanya gagal berkomunikasi di dalam bahasa Inggeris. Jauh sekali di dalam aspek penulisan tapi memohon jawatan bertaraf eksekutif di sebuah syarikat antarabangsa.

Daya pemikiran dan pengetahuan am, hancur!!!... Semua yg datang menunjukkan muka yg tiada keyakinan diri. Selalunya, calon sebegini hanya layak ditemuduga oleh kerani aku saja yg pastinya gagal mendapat jawatan yg dipohon.

Itu belum dilihat dari 1001 macam dokumen yg ditunjukkan seperti recommendation dari 1001 macam punya org poliTAIK. Sorry nooooo...... Aku tak layan surat-surat macam tu.

Jadinya, secara mudah dan terus saja ke point yg nak aku katakan.....

Aku cabar pihak Kementerian Pelajaran agar menetapkan suatu standard lulus peperiksaan seperti UPSR, PMR dan yg sama waktu dengannya. Mmg tidak dinafikan standard tu ada, tapi yg tau depa saja. Kemudian, hebohkan standard tersebut agar semua pihak tahu terutamanya para pelajar agar dapat mereka membuat target sendiri.

Tiap kali lepas exam tu, semua akan tahu samada nilai kualiti sistem pendidikan kita ni benar-benar berkesan atau standard lulus peperiksaan tersebut diapungkan demi nak bagi semua org lulus cemerlang.

Mungkin ramai yg tak faham apa yg aku tulis ni tapi aku tak kisah kerana aku bukan pandai sangat nak menterjemahkan idea di dalam bentuk penulisan ni.

Yang penting kita nak tahu adakah lulus 80% dpt A atau 40% pun dapat A.

Bangunan Parlimen Pun Dok Rosak Memanjang....

How do you want to offer your expertise when your own buildings having 1001 kind of default. Even our own Parliament Building is part of it. I guess this is another way to "kecoh" Kerajaan Laos and making more money out of it since Malaysian already smart to know which is diamond and which is not (except those in kepala lembu lor...)

Malaysia offers Laos construction expertise

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has offered its expertise in the construction of infrastructure to help Laos with its initiatives to boost economic growth, said the Prime Minister.

Malaysian companies could offer their expertise in the construction of infrastructure such as roads, ports, houses, buildings and hotels in Laos, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

He said this when paying a courtesy call on Laotian Prime Minister Choummaly Sayasone, who is on a two-day official visit to Malaysia.

Najib was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and a delegation of ministers and deputy ministers.

Choummaly was ac­­companied by his wife Keosay­chay Sayasone and a delegation of ministers and deputy ministers.

Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Muhkriz Mahathir, who was also present at the event, said the Prime Minister and his Laotian counterpart discussed increasing bilateral relations during the one-hour meeting.

“He (Najib) emphasised the capability of Malaysian companies in the construction of infrastructure and they could be given the opportunity to penetrate the market in Laos,” Muhkriz said.

He said the Laotian Prime Minister seemed well informed about Malaysia’s economic transformation plan and was impressed with the way the country managed its economy.

Najib made his first official visit to Laos on June 2 and 3.

Khas saya sertakan promosi ini untuk Kak Ijat yg kalah di Lembah Pantai bagi membantu kempen pengajaran cara pemakaian kondom di sekolah-sekolah.

Kalau mereka tidak mahu pakai kondom, apa perlu Kak Ijat runsing kerana terdapat sekolah yg akan membantu mereka yg termengandung. Nanti kalo semua pakai kondom, tutup pulak sekolah tu nanti.

Inilah dia contoh menteri um-NO yg dah tak tahu nak berfikir dengan akal otak sendiri mengalahkan otak lembu. Otak babi kut, sebab anak babi pun sondol ibu babi.

Rangkuman Berita Menarik Sepanjang Minggu....

Antara berita-berita menarik perhatian aku adalah seperti berikut:

1. Tarikh Hari Raya Aidil Adha yg dikatakan "pelik". Aku pun rasa pelik jugak tapi nak buat macam mana kerana pihak-pihak berkenaan merasakan mereka lebih Islam dari Islam. Malah ada jugak komponen pihak-pihak berkenaan yg mempertikaikan kenapa banyak kedai ditutup sempena Hari Raya Haji dgn cuba mengaitkan penutupan tersebut adalah arahan dari Kerajaan Kelantan. Aku menanti adakah pihak-pihak berkenaan yg juga merupakan pelacur Islam tersebut akan menyokong pelakon porno dgn hanya berdiam diri tanpa ada kenyataan. Semuanya boleh di baca di sini serta di sini dan sini malah banyak lagi sumber-sumber lain.
2. Berita berikutnya adalah mengenai kenaikan tarif air di Johor. Kenapa semua senyap ajer tak macam pemuda um-NO Kedah yg membuat demonstrasi protest serta melancarkan kempen boikot bil air. Adakah kerana Johor di bawak KERAjaan Beer-N? Mungkin la kut. Ruang Bicara Pria Malaya telah mengutarakan isu ini utk penilaian anda bagi melihat puak pemuda ni berakal waras dan panjang atau gila babi sebagaimana pemimpin mereka yg baru lega dari chicken-pork.
3. Satu lagi adalah kemungkinan kenaikan tarif eletrik sebanyak 1% pada tahun 2011 seperti yg dilaporkan oleh Berita Harian yg editornya dicucuk hidung, ditarik hidung dan berada di bawah kawalan mereka. Mustahil mereka akan mengatakan Berita Hairan mengeluarkan berita yg tidak hairan. Ingin aku melihat samada pemuda um-NO Kedah akan membuat demonstrasi protest dan melancarkan lagi kempen boikot bil letrik pulak. Kalau mereka tak buat, jelas, terang lagi disuluh ngan lampu xenon, mereka ni memang brain-drain kerana membuat sesuatu isu tanpa fikir panjang hanya utk dilihat memperjuangkan kebajikan rakyat sekalipun dilihat BODOH mengalahkan lembu.

Rasanya disebabkan mereka menjadi pembangkang di Kedah, habih semua dibangkangnya sekalipun memperlihatkan keBODOHan diri sendiri. Apa nak buat dah tiada rasa malu dan harga diri lebih rendah dari adik Siam Dannok yg selalu mereka kunjungi.

Sebenaqnya banyak lagi berita yg menarik perhatian aku tapi biarlah pembaca berusaha mencari sendiri kerana berita menarik ini tidak semestinya menarik perhatian orang lain. Kesimpulannya ini yg aku akan buat pada PRU-13 nanti. Buat masa sekarang, malas aku nak kecoh-kecoh. Kita berkempen cara diam.

Penulisan Yang Paling Bernas Setakat Ini....

Tajuk posting ni adalah Banjir di Kedah, Jangan Terlalu Menyalahkan MB (aku ubah skit bagi sedap membaca)

Banjir di Kedah semakin pulih. Sudah hampir 80% penduduk yang terlibat dalam bencana banjir di negeri utara Semenanjung itu, telah pun pulang ke rumah masing-masing. Namun kisah MB Kedah dan kepimpinan negeri yang 'kurang' memberikan perhatian, terus menjadi tajuk-tajuk utama sama ada di media baru, mahupun media-media tradisional.

Terbaru apabila MB Kedah mengamuk sakan di hadapan wartawan TV3 dan RTM apabila diminta mengulas tentang banjir di Kedah. Maka sekali lagi berita tersebut menjadi 'rebutan' untuk disiarkan oleh media-media baru khususnya blog, sama ada yang pro UMNO mahupun yang pro Pakatan mengikut versi masing-masing.

Banjir yang berlaku di Kedah telah membuka ruang untuk bermain politik bagi sesetengah pihak. Mungkin ada kecacatan di dalam perlaksanaan yang dilakukan oleh Kerajaan PAS, namun hakikatnya menafikan usaha mereka secara total adalah perbuatan yang tidak terpuji.

Kerajaan PAS Kedah, khususnya OSTAT Kita, biasanya kurang memberi ruang untuk UMNO dan Barisan Nasional menghentam. Namun apabila berlaku banjir dan kekecohan yang tercetus kerana faktor 'air naik terlalu cepat' seperti yang diterangkan oleh OSTAT Kita, menyebabkan UMNO dan Barisan Nasional segera menggunakan kesempatan tersebut dengan sebaik-baiknya.

Sebenarnya hendak menyalahkan OSTAT Kita dan barisan kepimpinan negeri secara total, tidak boleh. Sebabnya, memang Kerajaan PAS Kedah telah melakukan kerja-kerja yang sepatutnya dilakukan pada awal banjir. Namun liputan daripada media tradisional tidak menyeluruh sebaliknya tertumpu kepada tempat-tempat yang dikendalikan oleh pihak UMNO sahaja.

Walau apa pun alasan OSTAT Kita yang kedengaran tidak matang dan bahlol, ia tidak sepatutnya dijadikan sebagai alasan untuk sesetengah pihak menaikkan nama mereka dalam politik, khususnya di kalangan Ketua-Ketua Bahagian UMNO yang sebelum ini tidak banyak berada di daerah kekuasaan mereka. Musibah banjir dilihat sebagai medan untuk menunjukkan mereka bekerja dan sangat diperlukan oleh rakyat.

Kita tidak perlulah banyak bercerita atau mempersoalkan tentang ketidakberkesanannya Kerajaan PAS Kedah kerana ia sememangnya sudah terbukti. Namun yang menjadi persoalannya ialah motif sebenar sesetengah pihak di dalam UMNO yang beria-ia memburukkan OSTAT Kita dan PAS Kedah biarpun sebenarnya mereka tidak perlu berbuat begitu.

Tindakan UMNO dan Barisan Nasional mengambil kesempatan memburuk-burukkan PAS Kedah tidak akan menjamin kemenangan mereka dalam pilihanraya yang akan datang. Sebaliknya, mereka perlu membuktikan keberkesanan kerja mereka, khususnya dalam usaha menghantar bantuan kepada rakyat Kedah tanpa mengira fahaman politik sebagaimana yang disarankan oleh Perdana Menteri dan Timbalan Perdana Menteri.

Menteri-Menteri Pusat yang sampai ke Kedah, kebanyakannya telah dikepung oleh warlord-warlord tempatan Kedah. Pastinya mereka tidak mendapat gambaran sepenuhnya tentang banjir di Kedah. Begitu juga dengan media-media arus perdana, khususnya media elektronik. Warlord-warlord UMNO Kedah biasanya bijak mengatur dan mengarang cerita untuk menunjukkan kepada bos-bos mereka dari Pusat tentang betapa bagusnya kerja mereka, betapa hebatnya mereka bekerja, betapa efisiennya mereka agar nama mereka berada di carta teratas.

Perhatikanlah bagaimana UMNO Kedah menjalankan tugas membantu rakyat Kedah. Di mana command-center mereka? Siapakah penyelaras mereka? Dan bagaimanakah bantuan diuruskan? Adakah bantuan yang mencurah-curah ke Kedah menerusi UMNO benar-benar sampai kepada mangsa banjir, atau sekadar sampai di pusat-pusat pemindahan semata-mata? Adakah Ketua-Ketua Bahagian UMNO Kedah berjalan dan meninjau suasana banjir dengan mengharung air banjir di kawasan mereka yang digenangi air? Atau mereka sekadar melawat seperti pelancong melawat beruk di dalam sangkar zoo?

Sekalipun tanggungjawab menangani masalah banjir terletak di bahu Kerajaan PAS Kedah, namun sebagai sebuah entiti yang mengaku mereka jauh lebih berjasa berbanding PAS, mengapa pula UMNO tidak ubah seperti PAS pada zaman sebelum PAS dilantik sebagai pentadbir negeri?

UMNO Kedah sebenarnya sangat berharap kepada undi daripada rakyat Kedah. Mereka boleh membusukkan nama PAS menerusi media, tetapi apabila pembusukan tersebut keterlaluan, maka rakyat Kedah pasti akan membuat penilaian semula. Program mangsa banjir mendapatkan bantuan sudah lama berlalu. Ini bukan zaman rakyat mencari bantuan atau mencium tapak kaki pemimpin untuk mendapatkan segenggam beras, sebaliknya pemimpin yang mencari mangsa-mangsa banjir, khususnya untuk kes-kes terpencil bagi memenangi hati rakyat.

Berapa ramai yang berbuat begitu, selain daripada berkokok di pusat-pusat pemindahan banjir semata-mata?

Contoh paling ketara adalah di Anak Bukit apabila sesetengah rumah mangsa banjir ditenggelami bubur lumpur separas lutut. Berapa banyak pasukan daripada UMNO Anak Bukit yang turun membantu penduduk yang menjadi mangsa banjir? Atau sukarelawan UMNO sekadar membersihkan masjid dan sekolah seperti yang dilakukan oleh sukarelawan dari PAS sahaja bagi menunjukkan yang mereka membantu?

Seharusnya sebagai pihak yang sangat mengharapkan undi daripada rakyat Kedah, UMNO perlu bekerja lebih keras daripada PAS. UMNO Kedah tidak boleh sama sekali memburuk-burukkan PAS sekalipun kerja yang dijalankan oleh PAS dalam bencana banjir ini, tidak ubah seperti hampas kelapa... dimasak tak boleh, diberi makan itik, itik pun tak hendak!

UMNO Kedah perlu melipatgandakan usaha mereka membantu rakyat tanpa mengira status mahupun fahaman politik. Perlu diingat, media-media yang melaporkan sebarang perkembangan tidak hanya melibatkan media-media tradisional sebaliknya maklumat banyak disalurkan oleh rakyat marhein menerusi pelbagai jenis media baru, termasuklah cerita lisan.

Tiada gunanya UMNO menunggu peluang untuk membelasah PAS walhal pada masa yang sama, kebanyakan rakyat Kedah melihat UMNO sama seperti OSTAT Kita yang hanya kesibukan apabila rumahnya sendiri ditenggelami banjir.

Sayap-sayap UMNO seharusnya bergerak lebih aktif. Inilah masanya untuk mengambil hati rakyat Kedah. Ini jugalah masanya UMNO menanam modal untuk pilihanraya akan datang. UMNO Kedah perlu sentiasa ingat, media tradisional semakin kurang berpengaruh dan kebanyakan orang kampung, tidak lagi totok pemikiran mereka, sebaliknya mereka juga bijak menganalisa keadaan dan persekitaran. Apatah lagi dengan lakonan-lakonan bertaraf amatur yang ditunjukkan oleh pembesar-pembesar UMNO tempatan.

Tidak perlulah menyusahkan rakyat yang sudah sedia susah seperti yang disarankan oleh Johari Baharum yang mahukan setiap pesawah membuat laporan polis bagi memudahkan mereka diberikan gantirugi atau pampasan kerana banjir. Sebaliknya UMNO dan Barisan Nasional serta agensi-agensi persekutuan yang dihantar untuk membuat pendaftaran.

Kalau ustaz-ustaz PAS boleh merayap dari satu rumah ke satu rumah bagi memastikan sokongan untuk parti mereka bertambah dengan cara mengambil hati sekalipun hanya menghantar satu tin sardin, tiga ekor tamban kiat, dan beras kampit 5 kilo, setidak-tidaknya ianya bersifat peribadi iaitu dihantar terus ke kelompok sasaran sekaligus membuatkan mangsa banjir akan melihat PAS lebih prihatin berbanding UMNO yang mengambil jalan mudah dengan melambakkannya di pusat-pusat pemindahan mangsa banjir.

Dalam hal ini, rakyat yang perlu diutamakan. Hentikanlah dahulu sikap mengambil kesempatan seperti yang ditunjukkan sekarang... dan tak perlulah OSTAT Kita dibelasah sedemikian rupa semata-mata kerana beranggapan itu adalah cara terbaik untuk menjatuhkan PAS Kedah!!!!

JELUTONG, 11 Nov: Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun) Pulau Betong, Farid Saad (gambar) mengakui kelalaian dan sikap tidak amanah kepimpinan Umno semasa berkuasa menjadi punca tanah orang Melayu makin berkurangan di Pulau Pinang.

Justeru itu, beliau sebagai generasi muda dalam Umno mahu membaikinya sekaligus memastikan lain-lain tanah yang masih dimiliki orang Melayu tidak diambil untuk pembangunan yang tidak terancang.

"Sebagai generasi muda dalam Umno, saya rasa ia perlu diperbetulkan apakah kesilapan lalu supaya tidak terus menjadi persoalan siapakah pengkhianat sebenarnya," ujarnya pada Debat Perdana Pengkisahan Tanah Melayu di Pulau Pinang: Apakah Jalan Penyelesaian di Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang Pulau Pinang, di sini malam tadi.


Justeru, beliau mahu melupakan kisah lama yang ditinggalkan oleh generasi lama Umno yang nyata gagal menyelamatkan kedudukan tanah tersebut.

Dengan niat ikhlas, beliau mengajak semua parti politik Melayu dan badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) Melayu agar duduk semeja berbincang bagaimana cara terbaik menyelamatkannya.

"Soal parti terpulang pada rakyat. Saya tidak menghalang orang Melayu mahu memilih perjuangan mana yang mereka hendak kerana yang penting ialah ia jaga tanah masyarakat Melayu," kata beliau.

Program anjuran Yayasan Bina Ilmu itu membariskan Presiden Teras Pengupayaan Melayu (Teras), Azmi Abdul Hamid, Ahli Parlimen Parit Buntar, Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa dan Presiden Persatuan Melayu Pulau Pinang (Pemenang), Datuk Seri Yusoff Latif sebagai ahli panel.

Banjir Di Kedah...

Terima kasih aku kepada Mrs Xnuripilot di atas laporan banjir di kawasan kediamannya.

Cuma aku hairan kerana ada segelintir manusia yang mengatakan banjir tersebut adalah bala dari Allah S.W.T kerana memilih PAS utk memerintah Kedah. Baca ruang komen blog di sini...

Aku nak tanya, Kedah ni negeri di bawah Malaysia atau sebuah negara lain yang berdaulat? Kalau sebuah negeri di Malaysia, setiap bala yg menimpa mana-mana negeri di dalam negara ini, makanya bolehlah aku katakan bahawa Malaysia juga ditimpa bala. Siapa pemerintah KERAjaan Malaysia ni? PAS ka Beer-End yg majoritinya um-NO?

Malangnya org-org yg memberi komen sedemikian merupakan manusia yg penakut (bodoh tu memang dah ler) kerana hanya mampu menggunakan nama anonymous saja yg aku jangka merupakan spesis lembu um-NO. Dia takut kena ataih batang hidung sendiri bilamana negeri-negeri di bawah Beer-End mendapat musibah yang sama.

Aku rasa sepatutnya kita mendoakan agar semua yang terlibat sentiasa berada di bawah lindungan-Nya dan musibah tersebut akan cepat berakhir. Tak mahu aku mendoakan agar si penakut anonymous atau keluarganya ni mengalami nasib atau ditimpa musibah yg sama kerana tak baik mendoakan keburukan kepada org lain.

Ada isu-isu yg boleh dipoliTAIKkan dan ada masa-masanya kita lupakan sebentar perbezaan fahaman poliTAIK terutama di saat-saat saudara seagama, sebangsa, senegeri, senegara berada di dalam keadaan sebegini.

Percayalah, lepas ini akan kedengaran 1001 cerita mengenai post-flood situation terutama ketidakpuashatian mangsa dari segi bantuan yg diterima.

Perlu diingatkan bantuan dan pampasan adalah dua perkara yang berbeza dan 2 perkara inilah yang selalu diperkatakan dan susah nak bagi yg terlibat faham....

How Many Menara Warisan???...

I read a good article written by blogger Sakmongkol AK47. I copy & paste it towards sharing with all readers for your further digestion. If our Twin Tower seem like H in representing Hasmah, can't imagine the design of Menara Warisan to be seen like R in representing Rosmah.

OCT 27 — This piece of news has been puzzling me. It is about the construction of the 100-storey Warisan Merdeka tower. Just recently, Datuk Seri Najib Razak said it wasn’t his idea. Yet he announced it in the 2011 Budget recently. That means, he has agreed to the idea. The ultimate decision maker is of course the PM. Unless he gives the green light, Hamad Kama Piah will not move.

The PM says it was PNB’s idea. It’s easy to verify this. Let’s publish minutes preceding the decision to go ahead with this project. Discussions and deliberations must have taken place prior the announcement was made. These must have been minuted down. Let’s see them.

There must also be an exhaustive technical study and financial evaluation of the project. A project such as this can’t be thought up overnight. Engineers and architects must have worked on the commission. We should see all these.

There is the issue of cost. The building will cost RM5 billion. That’s RM 5,000,000,000. Kama Piah says the funding is internally generated. Internally or borrowed, the money represents Malay money. Wasn’t PNB created to harness Malay financial capital? PNB manages investments portfolio on behalf of Malays and earn dividends on their behalf. It has also branched out to handle investments portfolio for Malaysians.

Let’s see an orang kampong assessment of this outlay. Suppose the RM5 billion in invested somewhere earning a return of, say, 6 per cent. That would bring PNB a return of RM300 million a year.

So instead of building one unit of a 100-storey building, why not build a 20-storey building costing around RM300 million a year. So that in five years, we shall have started building five blocks of 20-storey buildings giving us an equivalent of a single 100-storey building. If each costs RM300million, five blocks will cost us only RM1.5 billion saving us RM3.5 billion.

With five, you can place them at will. Spread it around in Kuala Lumpur. Have two in Kampung Baru so that the value of the land there escalates. That will make owners earn high income.

I asked an engineer friend. It’s not that straight forward to do this 100-storey building. Because beyond a certain level, the cost of construction escalates. As we go higher, the degree of inefficiency of the building increases, requiring lots more money be pumped in. In the end, the cost of a single 100-storey building may be more than RM5 billion.

But the more interesting news coming out from the bowels of corporate-dom is that there will be two more similar towers built. This means, we shall be having not one 100-storey behemoth, but three of them. This will mean Najib will out-Mahathir Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

When PNB completes the 100-storey tower, how much rental will they charge per square foot? The Petronas Twin Towers cost is RM1.3 billion. Go ask the rental for the space at the food court. It is RM 130 psf. Will the rental rate at the Warisan Merdeka cost RM500 psf?

I Still Believe English Is Important...

I REFER to the letter “Make BM a world class language” (The Star, Oct 17) in which the writer lamented that “it has really become something of a drone to read the many calls to maintain English in the teaching of Science and Mathematics in schools. The same goes for complaints over the lack of good command of English among Malaysians”.

The fact that there are “many calls to maintain English” in our teaching curriculum tells us something about the dire necessity in doing so. Sometimes, we have to face the harsh realities for us to remain competitive and survive in this world.

English is the language of international diplomacy; it facilitates an enormous ease in communication among the diverse world population. Roughly 85% of all knowledge in the world is available in English, more than twice that of any other language.

If you want to be an airline pilot, and fly international routes, you must know English. English is sought after as a second language more than any other language of the world. In fact, there are more people in China who speak English than in the US.

In many Commonwealth countries, English is the official language of the government because it is considered to be a vehicle of valuable neutral expression.

There are culturally no intertwined elements in the English language that require a learner to understand in order to be competent in the language.

The irony of English is that there is nothing about it that makes it intrinsically better than any other language. It is just a circumstance of history that turned it into what it is today. It is a fact of life in the world today that we have to accept in order to progress.

If not, we will be like a fish out of water when we go overseas for visits or attend international forums.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, speaking at the opening of the International Forum on the Creation of Global Citizens on Monday, said: “As Malaysian global citizens, the people must be increasingly globally aware. We need direct access through the best ideas from around the world so we can apply those ideas at home.”

Can the writer explain how we can achieve this if we ignore English as a medium of communication?

For good measure, Muhyiddin summed up: “I believe the future is now. We have to move ahead with the times if we do not want to be marginalized. We have to be in tune with the rest if we want to be the best.

“We must change our ways if we want to survive. We have to accept the fact that the borders are blurring and cultures are merging. We are part of globalization, for better or worse.”

Another View On PPSMI....

BASED on the Education Ministry’s Schedule for Policy Transition from PPSMI (Teaching of Science and Mathematics in English) to MBMMBI (Upholding Bahasa Malaysia and Strengthening the Command of English), Science and Mathematics will be taught solely in Bahasa Malaysia in all national primary and secondary schools by 2016.

However, students in Forms 6, matriculation and universities will study the two subjects in English as it is done now.

I find a serious mismatch here between students learning Science and Maths in Bahasa in secondary schools and potential Science and Maths teachers being trained in the two subjects in English in universities.

The Ministry is implementing its plan to have only graduate teachers in all secondary schools and according to the Schedule, all Science and Maths graduates would have studied the two subjects in English in Form 6, matriculation and university but they will go back to schools to teach the two subjects in Bahasa.

Are we not fitting square pegs into round holes as far as the language of instruction is concerned? Would their competency be compromised? Would we not be sacrificing on quality? This predicament will magnify itself after 2015.

The Schedule is consequential to the proposed policy change. It spells out the subsequent steps to follow in the years to come. But it cannot be right if there is an inherent fault in the policy change. As it is, it does not compute!

To remedy the mismatch, schools should be allowed the option to continue teaching Science and Maths in English at secondary level. This is the desire of many students and parents.

If we can have a budget by the people as proudly proclaimed by the Prime Minister, let’s also have an education system by the people.

With the announcement of Budget 2011 by Cucu Tok Wan's Idol, I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate him and -aa for getting special present from his idol which is
These are the example of consumer products which was given tax exempted in Budget 2010. You should know by yourself why the size is extra big, kah kah kah....

But most importantly is Cucu Tok Wan and -aa will be given a space to live as their second home in the new proposed 100 stories building to be built rather than building more houses for Malaysian. I hope to be invited by them during house warming session.

This Is What I Feel Mr Cucu Tok Wan and -aa...

I REFER to the letter “What’s the criteria to assess an education policy?” (The Star, Oct 12) and I agree with the writer that six years is too short to determine that PPSMI is not suitable and call for its abolition.

As we are approaching 2012, the year that the Government will revert the teaching of Science and Mathematics to the Bahasa Malaysia medium, parents and students who wish to continue these two subjects in English are hoping for a miracle – that the Government will make a U-turn before it is too late.

Many parents have started looking for alternatives. Those who can afford to pay RM30,000 per year in school fees, are opting for international schools, others opt for private schools or studying in our neighbouring country. Some also choose home schooling which follows the overseas syllabus. In my case, The International School of Penang (Uplands) where my prince and princess are studying now.

This leaves only those who can’t afford expensive school fees especially Malays to turn to our local schools. If the school is the cradle to cultivate the 1Malaysia spirit, I can’t see how this can be done through so many different types of school and syllabuses.

Students have limited time to cope with so many subjects. They can’t afford to waste time doing translation. We must be clear that most of the books and materials related to these two subjects are available in English. If they are to be taught in bahasa kebangsaan, do we have a good books or materials translated in bahasa? I find it funny when translation been done to words such as joystick, mouse or even other science terms used world wide.

It's okey for you to compare with Japan who develops while using their mother-tongue but do you want to compare their attitude towards improving themselves. Don't run from the fact that Malay is the laziest race here, ok!

Our education system needs a change to provide the young generation a platform to compete with others in this globalised world, or we will see our children becoming “workers” for our neighbouring nations. Can KERAjaan able to create a job opportunity in their sector to all people namely Malays who are known for their poor English? Currently, the Malaysian education system does not have something interesting for student to attend. Compare with international school or other developed countries namely Japan, US etc.. student/pupils are crying if they cannot go to school and vise-versa here.

I believe the way to reach our Wawasan 2020 objective as a developed country lies in education. We were on the right track when PPSMI was implemented, so why are we killing the future of our nation and generations?

Simple answer is : Those who object PPSMI is selfish, stupid and never think of the future of their children.

1. Isu kenaikan tarif air di Kedah dan Penang yang telah pun mendapat perhatian pihak berkenaan di sini dan sini serta di sini. Malah di sini dan di sini pun ader jugak...
2. Isu wang judi yang disedekahkan oleh Kerajaan Penang kepada warga emas di sini dan di sini.
3. Isu Perkosa, oppsss silap, Perkasa yang Ketuanya cukup Islam dari yang lain di sini dan di sini.
4. Kenaikan harga rokok. Bagus ler tu kalau objektif kenaikan harga dapat dicapai. Jgn nanti rakyat tak merokok, KERAjaan pulak yg sakit sbb cukai rokok berkurangan.
5. Kenaikan harga susu pekat yang bakal berlaku sedikit masa lagi. Menteri dia dah kata kenaikan harga tersebut. Sumber dari sini dan sini.

Jadinya untuk para no: 5 tu, aku mohon agar Cucu Tok Wan membuat sedikit penulisan mengenainya dan menjemput Pemuda Gerakan dan UMustNotObject Kedah untuk membuat bantahan awal sebelum kenaikan dan bukannya selepas kenaikan.Hampa rasa depa mau atau berani buat bantahan?

Dua gambar di atas rasanya sudah cukup memberi penjelasan ke atas isu sumbangan wang dari Penang kepada warga emas dan sifat pelupa kepada ahli U Must Not Object party.

Aku hingga sekarang masih hairan kenapa semua penerima wang tersebut tidak memulangkan kepada yang memberi sebaliknya diberikan kepada pihak lain. Boleh percaya ker yang penerima tu akan memulangkan kepada yang memberi iaitu Kerajaan Penang?

Alasan yang diberikan iaitu tidak dipengaruhi oleh mana-mana pihak mungkin sesuai untuk golongan seumur dengan mereka tapi tidak aku kerana persoalan mengapa memerlukan suatu majlis yg mendapat liputan media secara besar-besaran dan yg penting pihak yg menerima tu adalah bukan wakil dari Kerajaan Penang.

Tapi aku faham kerana mereka warga emas dan suatu hari nanti aku pun akan menjadi warga emas jugak (kalau umur panjang).
